Hope Outreach Thrift Store

Hope Outreach Thrift Store began with a desire to minister to our community. After having several yard sales and realizing we had as many items left as we did when we started.

We asked the owners of the Knight Store if we could use it as a thrift store. This building was a central hub for the Point Cedar community for decades. It was not only the local mercantile, feed store, and grocery store. It was also the local post office, barber shop, and the place to pay your utility bills.

Mr. Charlie Knight was known throughout the community, and it was our honor to restore the store and make it into the Thrift Store it is now. We created a room inside the store for a local hairdresser to open shop, which lasted many years, till Covid shut the doors.

We reopened it with the help of two ladies with a desire to help the community and food pantry with All proceeds made from the store go to the food pantry the church operates, down the road.
